Policies

Settled Wellness · Nervous System Care for Women

These policies match what clients agree to before we begin. They cover what our work is (and isn't), how I handle your privacy, and how cancellations work. If anything feels unclear, you're always welcome to ask.

Disclaimer

Our sessions are virtual, one-on-one, and held on Google Meet. Together we use somatic practice and trauma-informed yoga to support your nervous system: gentle movement, breath, grounding, and noticing what's happening in your body.

Somatic healing sessions with Jennifer Gray are not psychotherapy, medical treatment, or psychological diagnosis. I'm not a licensed medical or mental-health clinician, and this work isn't a substitute for care from a doctor or licensed clinician. If you are working with a therapist or physician, this work is designed to complement, not replace, that support.

Taking part is completely voluntary. Every practice, movement, breath, or suggestion I offer is an invitation, never a requirement. You're always welcome to say no, try something different, or simply rest. Consent is ongoing, and you can pause, skip, or stop at any time.

Gentle movement and breath work are generally low-risk, but like any physical practice they carry some small physical and emotional risks. Feelings or memories can sometimes come up. You agree to listen to your body and to modify or stop anything that doesn't feel right.

I'm not a crisis service. If you're ever in crisis, please call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). For any emergency, call 911.

Privacy

What you share with me stays private. There are a few limits, which are the same for most practitioners: if there's a risk of serious harm to you or someone else, if I suspect abuse of a child or vulnerable adult, or if the law requires it. Any notes or records I keep are stored securely and privately.

To help with session notes, I may use an AI note taker during sessions. It's used only to help with notes and tracking your progress and your practice over time. No video or audio is shared with anyone. Using the note taker is always your choice — you can say no, or ask to turn it off at any time, with no effect on your care. I won't record sessions without your permission, and I ask that you don't record without mine.

Cancellation

Our time together matters, and I hold your session time just for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let me know at least 24 hours ahead so I can offer that time to someone else. You can reschedule using the link in your confirmation email.

Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed sessions, are charged at half the session rate.

Life happens. Illness, flare-ups, family emergencies and sensory overload are real, and I will always meet you with compassion. If something comes up, just reach out when you can, and we'll figure it out together. I'm glad to waive the fee for genuine emergencies.

If I ever need to cancel, I'll give you as much notice as I can, and you'll never be charged.
